Class placement.
Every year schools take on the complex challenge of placing children into classes for the next year.
When doing this, staff take into consideration many factors such as learning needs, strengths, friendships and personalities to create balanced classes. If you have any relevant information that you feel would assist us in placing your child, please email the information to pa@wgp.school.nz for consideration, before 22 November 2017.
The nature of this task means there are many tough decisions to be made. Last week we had a visit to the zoo. This week we will be following up on what we saw and discussing the topic of endangered and extinct animals.

Last week we spent the week looking at 'Keeping ourselves safe'. A homework book with follow up activities will be coming home. It would be great if you could do these activities with your child.
Here are some of the videos we watched that went with the lessons:

We are really excited to be venturing out with our whole VLC to the Auckland Zoo this term to engage in some exciting learning opportunities related to our inquiry this term.
Term 4’s Inquiry focus is “Environmental Sustainability’. Education for Sustainability is about learning to think and act in ways that will safeguard the future wellbeing of people and our planet. Our team also had to host the whole school assembly on Friday and preform our cultural item one last time.
